Plenum Fiber Optic Patch Cables

Plenum rated optical fiber patch cables are intended to meet certain building regulations for fire resistant cabling. Best installed in areas which may not be suitable for standard fiber optic cables such as the inner walls or ceilings of a building, the Plenum material is fire-retardant and allows for less smoke to be produced in the unfortunate case of a fire. In other cases which fiber cabling must be installed along outer floors or outside of buildings, standard riser jackets or armored jackets may be a more appropriate solution.
