Even in mission critical networks, many individual fiber network connections are often left exposed to unauthorized or inadvertent modifications. To eliminate this threat and to secure network connections, OptoSpan has developed a unique solution based on SecureFlex fiber cables.
Designed to lock and protect any conventional SC or LC connections, the SecureFlex cables are fully compatible with standard patch panels, wall jacks and transceiver ports. Once a SecureFlex cable is connected, it can only be unlocked and removed using a matching color extraction key. To segregate and protect networks, the SecureFlex system is available in four unique colors.
For enhanced performance, the SecureFlex fiber cables in addition features high performance proprietary LC ferrule which reduces connector insertion loss (IL) to less than .09dB (ordinary LC IL is .30dB) and the 360 flex angle boots that can flex in any direction at any angle.
