OptoSpan DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) transceivers use different wavelengths to multiplex several optical signals onto a single fiber, without requiring any power to operate. These transceivers are intended for high capacity, long distance transmissions, with speeds up to 10Gbps and spanning distances up to 80 kilometers. Available in Cisco compatibility for Platinum series modules and generic OEM compatibility for Standard series. Other OptoSpan X2 transceivers include 10G Duplex X2, CWDM X2, and CWDM X2.
DWDM X2 Technical Features
OptoSpan DWDM X2 transceivers are X2 MSA, IEEE 802.3ae/q/k & ROHS compliant, and feature 2-Wire Interface Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (SFF-8724). DWDM X2 Transceivers are available in 10G speeds and operate a distances up to 80km. All OptoSpan DWDM X2 modules are tested and certified in brand specific networks and target applications and assembled using the highest quality raw components available.
