SteelFlex Armored (Formerly Heavy Armored):
OptoSpan SteelFlex Armored cables feature an exclusive OptoLock mechanism comprised of a steel metal tube that is locked into position by overlapping links. This composition results in an unmatched rugged, but light weight cable that provides maximum flexibility. Providing the strongest physical protection, SteelFlex Armored cables enclose the internal fibers with nearly twice the thickness of the braid found in the SteelPatch Armored jacket. Incredibly lightweight and malleable, the SteelFlex Armored jacket protects the optical fibers while maintaining flexibility, without adding unnecessary bulk or heft to the fiber network. These armored cables are ideal for heavy crush loads, military grade applications, oil, gas, and mining areas, or protection against possible animal or rodent damage.

These Armored Breakout fiber optic cables are available with SteelPatch Armored jacketing. Providing 6 to 24 individual fiber strands, these fiber assemblies provide both durability with flexibility into a unique networking solution.
These fiber cables provide SteelPatch Armored jacketing with Plenum (OFNP) rated material in order to produce significantly less smoke during combustion. Additionally, these Plenum rated assemblies are able to meet some strict building codes and are able to be installed in Plenum rated environments such as in between walls, floors, and ceilings.
These multifiber cables with MTP® connectors (higher quality of MPO connectors) provides low signal loss along with SteelPatch Armored jacketing. Fully compatible with MPO networking equipment, the Armored MTP® cable assemblies are perfectly suited to bring high-speed data transmission through hazardous networking environments. Choose between Riser (OFNR) and Plenum (OFNP) insulation.
Armored MPO fiber cables allow for either SteelPatch or SteelFlex armored jacketing and Riser or Plenum rated insulation options. These assemblies offer the most choices when dealing with multifiber assemblies.
Further improving on the MTP® redesign, MTP Elite® fiber cable assemblies allow for even less signal loss due to stricter manufacturing decisions. Each fiber assembly may be constructed with SteelPatch Armored jacketing and either Riser (OFNR) or Plenum (OFNP) coating.
