OM4 breakout fiber cables allow for the greatest amount of transmission distance while retaining high speeds as introduced by OM3 fiber. Featuring a core/cladding diameter of 50/125μm, this line of fiber optic cables is laser optimized for 40G/100G networks while remaining backwards compatible with OM3 equipment.
OM3 breakout fiber cables feature data transfer speeds of up to 40G/100G using 850nm wavelengths, with distances of up to 100m. As the most cost effective choice in high speed data transfers, this series of fiber optic assemblies is the most common choice of current network administrators for its ability to deliver high performance and ease of future upgradability.
OM2 fiber breakout cables feature a core and cladding diameter of 50/125μm allowing for hassle-free network upgrades to higher fiber specifications. These breakout cables also improve on the OM1 fiber by increasing the transmission distances and reducing the maximum attenuation per kilometer.
OM1 fiber is currently the most economical multimode specification available capable of reaching 10G transmission speeds. Each assembly features a 62.5/125μm core/cladding, allowing for wavelengths of either 850nm or 1300nm reaching distances of 33m or up to 300m respectively.
OS2 fiber allows for nearly unlimited bandwidth and transmission speeds of up to 100G. Featuring a core/cladding diameter of 9/125μm, this line of fiber optic cables maintains a unique blend of performance and function unobtainable by any other specification.
